Glenn Haupt
Principal
Solar Craft, LLC

Glenn is a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor and the owner of Solar Craft LLC, a residential design firm that focuses on creating durable, energy efficient, healthy home designs that utilize active and passive solar energy strategies.  His current design work includes participation in The Oregon Department of Energy's High Performance Home Program, a deep energy reduction retrofit of his family's home, and a RV garage converted into a passive and active solar home and artist studio.  He recently completed Passive House Consultant training, a design and construction approach which leads to a 90% space heating energy reduction, and a 75% reduction in total primary energy in homes, compared to code built homes.   He believes that combining Passive House design principles with distributed solar energy production is the most best approach for achieving net zero and positive energy homes today.  Glenn is an early adopter of the Architecture 2030 Challenge, is a member of the NW Ecobuilding Guild, and the High Desert Branch of the Cascadia Green Building Council.
