The Coos County Green and Solar Tour is being held on Saturday,
October 6th. Sites on the tour feature passive solar, solar electric, solar
water heating, alternative building methods, living roof, residential hydro-electric
and organic subsistance gardening. All homes are connected to the electric
power grid. Homeowners and/or designers will be present to answer questions. The
tour is self-guided and tickets are free. Join other participants
for a no host brunch beginning at 10 am on the morning of the tour and to pick
up maps or even make car pool arrangements. The Coos County Green and Solar
Tour is part of the American Solar Energy Society’s National Solar Tour.
