2008 Oregon Green and Solar Tours

Event Profile:

Each year several communities across the state offer tours of green and solar homes and businesses.  These tours are united by the Oregon Green and Solar Tours  statewide event as a part of the the American Solar Energy Society's National Solar Tour.  Most of the tours are scheduled to coincide with the National Tour, which takes place annually the first weekend in October.  The Oregon Green and Solar Tours engage sustainability organizations such as Solar Oregon, Portland’s Office of Sustainable Development, 3E Strategies in Bend, Energy Trust of Oregon, Inc., and the Oregon Department of Energy.

Attendee Profile: 

This event attracts homeowners, buyers, builders, design professionals, business owners... just about anyone interested in Solar and Green Building.  In 2007 more than 4,000 people attended this event visiting 126 sites in 13 communities across the state.  This represented an increase in attendance of 33% over last year. Both residential and commercial buildings were represented.  Your sponsorship allows you to promote your business to this audience that cares about sustainability.
